Jeffrey Andrew Stine, 52, was found fleeing from the scene in the 900 block of Progress Road when police were heading to the active assault report in the 100 block of Greene Meadow Lane on Monday, April 17 around 6 p.m., according to the release.

Stine then tried to punch an officer in the face, but they backed away in time. Then the police used verbal attempts, a TASER device, and pepper spray— and final while he continued to struggle they took him into custody. Then they were able to investigate the assaults, the police explained in the release.

Stine broke into the 94-year-old woman's home, tried to rape her, and punched her in the face during the assault— causing her to suffer a brain bleed, facial fractures and a broken femur, police said.

A second woman was then punched in the face and then Stine stomped on her head— multiple facial fractures, according to the police.

Then a third woman was punched in the nose, and finally a fourth woman was grabbed by her arm and punched in the back, the police explained.

Stine was charged with the following according to the police:

  • Two counts of Aggravated Assault.
  • One count of Criminal Attempt - Rape.
  • One count of Burglary.
  • One count of Indecent Assault.
  • Four counts of Simple assault.
  • One count of Aggravated Assault.
  • One count of Resisting Arrest.

Stine was originally held on $100,000 in bail for the later two offenses but the Judge then denied bail for the other charges, so he remains in the Franklin County Jail, court records show.

His preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge Glenn Kenneth Manns on May 2 at 8:30 a.m., according to his latest court docket.

He has a criminal record for driving over the influence in 2002, court records show.
